Book Review : Legacy of the Golden Bird
Title - Legacy of the Golden Bird
Author - Lainey Miles
Anyone who enjoys Children's Literature and Fiction should definitely pick up this fantastic book. This was my first time reading a work by Miles, and I was thoroughly impressed by her smooth and engaging writing style.
The story follows Princess Salair and her bodyguard Sasha as they seek out Sir Charles—better known as Chuck—a loyal ally of the King, Salair’s father. After the mysterious disappearance of her parents from the kingdom, Sasha’s only thought was to bring the Princess to Chuck for help.
At Chuck’s secret refuge, Salair meets Berra, a bird that Chuck had rescued. She feels an instant, mysterious connection with the creature—even experiencing a trance-like moment. Chuck fears that the disappearance of her parents might be linked to the ominous Dark Forest, possibly involving Drouck, a Dark Prince, who may have taken them to his castle deep within those woods.
The story becomes more captivating with every chapter. Packed with twists and turns, this book will keep you hooked right until the final page. I absolutely loved it—and even the series title stands out. Miles has created memorable characters that linger in the reader’s imagination long after the book is closed.
